If breakfast is your favorite meal then you probably enjoy going to IHOP a few times a month. I love IHOP too but why go to the same place all the time when there are other restaurants that serve the best pancakes in the country? Check out this list to see if one of them is a short drive away from where you live.
Pancake Pantry (Nashville)
Many people say this is the best place to get pancakes and this probably explains the lines outside. It’s been around since the 1960’s and use family recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation. Expect long lines here especially in the original location in Hillsboro Village. The syrups, fruit preserves and pancake batters are made from scratch. Try the blueberry pancakes, and be sure to order sausage and eggs. We also loved the Old Fashioned Buttermilk pancakes.
Wildberry Pancakes & Café (Chicago)
Try the 5-stacker Berry Bliss pancakes with mascarpone and fresh berries and you’ll never forget it for the rest of your life! The Wildberry Pancakes & Café is considered the #1 breakfast spot in Chicago and it uses its own recipes to create flavorful meals. The ingredients are fresh and their specialty pancakes include banana coconut cream, cinnamon roll, and Signature Berry Bliss.
Brownstone Diner & Pancake Factory (Jersey City)
You get over-the-top pancakes and other breakfast items on their menu which come complete with candy and other toppings. Be sure to try the milk shakes which are huge!
The Hudson Cafe (Detroit)
The Hudson Café is a famous brunch spot in Detroit. The thick, rich and stacked pancakes are a staple here and you can choose from several flavors like Cinnabunn and Red Velvet. They also have the Chunky Monkey which has banana slices, white choco chips and caramel.

You can choose over a dozen varieties of pancakes on their all-day breakfast menu. The stacks are jaw-dropping and you get amazing value for your money.
Clinton St. Baking Co. & Restaurant (NYC)
If you are a fan of pancakes then this place is a must-visit. Try their Mexican Chocolate Pancakes which has cinnamon-chili choco sauce and crunchy churros bananas. The pancake itself has wild Maine blueberries, choco chunks and banana butter.
Cafe Luluc (Brooklyn)
The pancakes here may seem nothing out of the ordinary when they serve it to you but with the first bite, you’ll be speechless. The texture and taste are nothing short of perfect.
Snooze A.M Eatery (Denver)You have to try the Pancake Flight. You can get the Sweet Potato Pancake, Matcha Pineapple Pancake and Blueberry Danish Pancake. There’s a reason why people drive an hour just to have breakfast here.
Dor-Stop Restaurant (Dormont)
The moment you step inside, you’ll get a whiff of the sweet and savory aromas of the pancakes. You’ve got to try the World Famous Hot Cakes, which are thick and fluffy. The texture is cake-like and they are humongous.

This restaurant is family owned and has been around for more than 4 decades. It opens its doors at 5AM and the menu is extensive, with two pages dedicated to breakfast options.
