It’s true that once you’ve tried the buffets in Las Vegas (like the one in Aria), you might just wish you can get the same experience on a more regular basis. Sure, buffets are everywhere in the US, but not all of them are particularly memorable.
The good news is that if you’re living in Chicago, then you do have plenty of buffet options to try out and enjoy. Here are some of the better choices:
Texas de Brazil, 5 Woodfield Mall, Schaumburg
This is a Brazilian-style steakhouse that offers a great deal when it comes to their buffet. In fact, you might want to come here a little bit hungry, so you can really enjoy more of the food.
The buffet offers lots of options, including plenty of terrific appetizers. Then you get to the cutting station, with lots more options for the meat. Pick your choices, and they’ll cut right then and there.
The Grill on Laurel, 181 E Laurel Ave, Lake Forest
This is one of the more popular buffet options in Chicago. The quality is terrific, yet the prices remain reasonable. It’s an undeniably upscale location, yet the atmosphere is warm and inviting. And you do have lots of buffet options.
Don’t forget the omelet station in the morning, as they will then serve these omelets freshly cooked. Other breakfast options include sausage, bacon, eggs Benedict, potatoes, and great bagels with cream cheese and lox.
There’s also a carving station here, offering terrific cuts of roast beef, turkey, and ham.
Red Apple Buffet
Are you adventurous enough to try Polish cuisine? It might actually become a favorite, especially after a visit to the Red Apple Buffet. The place focuses on breakfast and lunch buffets.
Here, you can start with the salad section with lots of vegetable options. You can then follow these up with some blintzes, pierogis, and potato pancakes. Finally, you have plenty of dessert options, and many of them are handmade.
There’s a location at Avondale, 3121 N Millwaukee Ave. and also at Norwood Park, 6474 N Milwaukee Ave.
Aurelio’s Pizza
Do you love pizza so much that you wish you can always eat as many slices as you can? Then visit Aurelio’s Pizza for their lunch buffet. They have plenty of different pizzas to offer, along with pasta dishes and salads. You get a dessert as well, along with a drink.
The pizzas here are amazingly addictive, and you’ll likely find yourself compulsively eating slice after slice. In fact, you might only stop when it’s physically impossible for you to eat any more.
Pearl’s Place
Many consider this one of the topnotch buffet choices in the whole city, whether you want some breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Pearl’s Place have a special menu for each buffet course, and you’ll immediately notice that they specialize in Southern comfort food.
Many of the dishes here are made to order, to make sure you get each dish fresh and hot.
Have fun and enjoy at these excellent Chicago buffets!
