Shady Maple began as a roadside stand where Henry Martin and his wife sold their farm produce, back in 1962. Their daughter Miriam eventually took over the business, and expanded the stand into a produce and grocery complex. The business grew during the 1970s, and by 1982 they had a cafeteria.

Operating Schedule
Shady Maple offers a buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, every day except Sundays and certain national holidays. These normally include Martin Luther King Day, Valentine’s Day, President’s Day, Good Friday, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve.
The Breakfast Buffet during the weekdays starts from 7AM to 10AM, while lunch is from 10:45AM to 3:15PM. The dinner buffet 4PM to 7PM, but extends to 8PM on Fridays.
The Saturday breakfast buffet is also from 7AM to 10AM, but lunch is from 11AM to 3:15PM. The dinner buffet starts immediately after the lunch buffet, and ends at 8PM.
Pricing
Prices can change at any time, although it’s always very reasonable. It often depends on what food options are available. It’s also more expensive on Saturdays, though it usually costs only a couple of dollars more.
The breakfast buffet is the most affordable, followed by the lunch buffet. The dinner buffet is the most expensive, although prices remain reasonable.
Adults pay the full price, but senior citizens enjoy a 10% discount. Children from 4 to 10 years old get a 50% discount, while the younger kids eat free.
You tend to have the usual diner fare available, but there are certain specialties that you might not find in many other diners. These include Delmonico & NY Strip Steaks, Hand Carved Prime Rib, and many types of seafood.
